He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and maintains a seat on the board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. Outside of the office for nearly a decade, he is a member of the Louisiana High School Officials Association for football and baseball official, and he officiated a state championship football game in 2020. Matt and Katie spend their free time cheering on the McNeese Cowboys, the LSU Tigers, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
